Heating atlas outlines green energy options

Tórshavn residents will soon receive recommendations about the optimal sustainable heating options for their district.

These recommendations will be outlined in a new heating atlas consisting of a series of maps and text descriptions which outline the most suitable alternatives to oil-fired boilers.

Some 5,000 buildings in the capital region will be replacing oil boilers with alternative heating solutions over the next eight years, according to consulting engineer firm SMJ, which has compiled the heating atlas for Tórshavn City Council.
