Last year saw an unusually high number of deaths.
A total of 425 deaths were registered in 2021, 219 men and 206 women. This is the highest figure for many years.

In 2020, the number was 366, 191 men and 175 women.
Cancer is the most common cause of death.

The chief medical officer’s 2021 annual health report has no detailed figures regarding causes of death.
The figures for 2020 show that 60 men and 32 women died from cancer.
