More funding for doctor training

The government wants to improve the training of GPs and hospital doctors.
To this end, it has increased the annual budget for training doctors from DKK 12.5 million to DKK 14.2 million for the next three years.
According to the 2023 budget proposal, part of this appropriation will be spent on mandatory course activities.

Forty-six junior doctors are currently training in Faroese hospitals, 11 of which are training to become general practitioners.
Three student doctors are expected to gain their GP qualifications this year.
