Eystur municipality drops its plot waiting list
Citizens on the waiting list will have their DKK 20,000 waiting list deposits reimbursed

It is no longer possible to join a waiting list for plots in Eystur municipality, Eysturoy, as the town council has decided to drop the list altogether.
The town council decided last month that maintaining the list required too many resources. Instead of using a waiting list, available plots will be announced on the municipality’s website.
When the decision was made to scrap the waiting list on 21 January, 29 people were registered on the waiting list. Syðrugøta was the most popular location, with 11 applicants.
Fourteen plots were available in Eystur municipality on 21 January.
