Tonight’s Faroe-Czech handball game called off
The Czech national handball team will fly back home today after Covid-19 was detected in the squad

06.01.2021 - 13:14

The international handball match between the Faroe Islands and the Czech Republic, scheduled to be played in Tórshavn tonight, has been cancelled.

The reason is that Covid-19 was detected in the Czech squad yesterday.

According to the Faroese Handball Federation (HSF), all safety precautions have been adhered to since the squad arrived on a private jet yesterday, and they have kept to themselves at the airport, on the coach and in their hotel.

HSF is in regular communications with the Faroese health authorities and the European Handball Federation (EHF).
