No need for old cinema law

The cinema law from 1984 no longer serves its purpose, says the Ministry of Social Affairs and Culture, which wants it scrapped.

This approval process, the ministry argues, is an unnecessary bureaucratic hurdle and is not in line with the government’s policy of less government intrusion into cultural matters.
