Free vaccines for tourists

The vaccination regulations have been revised to also include people who stay in the country for short periods.
According to the old regulations, which expired yesterday, the requirement for receiving a free vaccine was a minimum stay of 30 days.
Vaccines were available 14 days after the time of arrival; however, Faroese citizens studying abroad were exempted from this 14-day requirement.
No new Covid cases
No positive results came out of yesterday’s 1,215 Covid tests.
The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, 2 and 0.
There are currently six active Covid-19 cases in the country. No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 14 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.
According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 35,928 people (67.3 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 32,915 (61.7 percent) have received the second shot.

Plenty of vaccine doses are available to everyone aged 12 and over.
