Airlines dropping face mask mandate
SAS announced earlier this week that its passengers will no longer be required to wear protective face masks.
And today, Atlantic Airways announced that its mask mandate will expire on 1 November.
“We have good ventilation in our cabins, and we have so far not registered any Covid infections on board our aircraft,” says Atlantic CEO Jóhanna á Bergi.
Low infection risk
Chief medical officer Lars Fodgaard Møller confirms that the risk of Covid-19 spread inside aeroplane cabins is low.
“What is much more concerning is that only 20 percent of air passengers take the recommended follow-up test two days after arriving in the Faroes”, he says.
