Non-urgent operations are postponed to free up beds and staff

The country’s three hospitals have implemented changes to accommodate the new Covid wave.
A number of planned, non-urgent operations will be put on hold to free up staff for Covid patients.
All hospital visitors will now be required to wear protective face masks. This comes in addition to the recently introduced requirement that visitors should make arrangements with the relevant ward ahead of their visit.
