Top Faroese delegation visits U.S. submarine
Prime Minister, foreign minister, MPs and others today boarded a nuclear-powered American submarine outside Tórshavn

An American submarine of the Ohio class, which is the largest U.S. submarine class, today made a brief stopover outside Tórshavn for a crew change.
A number of Faroese politicians were invited to visit the submarine. These included Prime Minister Bárður á Steig Nielsen, foreign minister Jenis av Rana, MPs and representatives from Tórshavn City Council.
This coincides with a visit to the Faroe Islands by U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, Alan Leventhal.
