Closing the book on a difficult year

Eivør Pálsdóttir is a superstar in the Faroes, and there are good reasons why she has also become a bit of an international superstar.

One of these reasons can be found in her rendition of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)", recorded last week at Danish TV2’s Christmas Eve Show.

So, rather than delving on a difficult 2022, let’s try to solve the age-old question of whether this is actually a Christmas song or a New Year’s song – after all, Lennon sang: “Another year over and a new one just begun”.
