Witness appeal after Tórshavn car theft

A car owner yesterday went into the á Hálsi sports hall for a quick errand and left the key in the ignition.

When the person came back, the car, a blue Opel Astra with a GJ564 number plate, was gone.

Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact the police on phone number 114.

The car owner may be fined for leaving the car unattended with the key in the ignition.

Last night was otherwise quite uneventful for the police. One case of breach of the peace was registered, and a drunk person slept it off in jail overnight.
