Driving conditions are improving

Driving conditions across the country are returning to normal.

Road authority Landsverk says that only two roads, both in Streymoy, are currently closed off for traffic: the Oyggjarvegur road from Tórshavn to Kollfjarðardalur (the road up in the mountains, not the one going through the tunnel) and the road to Syðradalur.

These two stretches are, however, expected to be cleared later today.

Drivers are still advised to practise caution as some roads throughout the country may still be slippery and some more frost is expected tonight.
