Denmark’s Eurovision hopes this year rest on the shoulders of young Faroese singer Rani Petersen, also known as Reiley.

The judges yesterday voted Reiley’s “Breaking My Heart” as the best song at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, the Danish Eurovision finals.

Although Ukraine won last year’s Eurovision contest, it was decided for safety reasons that this year’s contest will be held in Liverpool, UK.

A firm favourite prior to the final, Reiley secured 43 percent of the total vote – 15 percent from viewers and 28 percent from the judges.
