It will take hours to clear the snow-filled roads, says road authority

The large amounts of snow that came down last night has left many roads across the country unpassable.
In Suðuroy, it is currently not possible to drive between Vágur and Sumba, and the road to Fámjin is also fully covered with snow.
The eastern villages of Sandoy are currently not reachable by road. The same applies to Streymoy’s Oyggjarvegurin and the roads to Selatrað, Gjáar, Elduvík and Saksun.
