Second corona case confirmed

Faroese health authorities last night confirmed that a second Faroese person has contracted the COVID-19 virus, also known as coronavirus.
The infected woman, who recently travelled to Northern Italy, is currently quarantined in her home.
The Chief Medical Officer is working with the woman to determine who should be quarantined.

The first corona case in the Faroe Islands was announced on Wednesday morning. A man, who had travelled to Paris, was diagnosed with the virus.
The man is currently in quarantine in his home, but before he was diagnosed, he had attended work, and his children had been to nursery and school.
Fifteen other Faroese citizens are currently in quarantine. Eight are staying at Hotel Vágar, and seven are staying in their respective homes.
