Covid moves to central region
One more Covid-related fatality has been recorded, bringing the total up to three

Last night’s Covid figures reveal that 42 of the 67 positive tests were registered in Suðurstreymoy, while Eysturoy accounted for 14.

Along with yesterday’s figures came the announcement of one more Covid-related death.

A new poll of an undisclosed sample size suggests that a majority of the Faroese public are unhappy with the political handling of the Covid situation over the past month.

About 69 percent of the respondents said they the disapproved of the government’s handling of the situation this past month, while 26 percent said they approved of it.

Only six percent said there is no need for further Covid restrictions. Most of the respondents said they wanted a reintroduction of border testing.
