The sustainable food-themed folk high school in Sandur has closed down, at least temporarily.
All five staff members have been let go, and the lease for the premises has been cancelled.
On 30 June, it was announced that not enough students had signed up for the school’s long courses to meet the quota required for public subsidies.
It is too early to say what the school might offer if it reopens next summer, says Petersen.
