Public transport disrupted by poor weather

The weather is not great, and it is expected to get even worse later today.

This will affect coach and ferry services across the country, according to public transport company SSL.

Suðuroy ferry Smyril will depart Tórshavn at 11am, and this will be Smyril’s last departure for today.

The cargo ships serving Sandoy and Suðuroy have been cancelled for the day.

Most coach services are running as normal this morning, but cancellations are expected from noon onwards.
