The 2023 state budget proposal has a DKK 141 million surplus, and it features a DKK 25 million cut in the block grant from Denmark.

These are some of the key points of the 2023 budget proposal which finance minister Ruth Vang submitted to Parliament this morning.

As budget preparations were interrupted by the early election in December, the new budget is to a large extent modelled on the proposal submitted to Parliament last autumn.

A few changes have, however, been made. These include environmental measures and preparations for a renewal of the ferry fleet.

Total state revenues are estimated at DKK 6,940 million, while the estimated expenses are DKK 6,799 million.

The finance minister says the government is planning to introduce tax cuts during this parliamentary sitting.
