A safe place for young LGBT+ people

A safe place for young LGBT+ people
LGBT+ people aged 15-21 will soon have a place where they can meet other LGBT+ people

14.03.2023 - 06:34

LGBT+ Føroyar is preparing to open a so-called safe space where young LGBT+ people can meet without fear of prejudice.

This service is available in many countries including Denmark and Iceland.

Initially, the safe space will be available to LGBT+ people aged 15-21.

Volunteers needed

LGBT+ Føroyar is looking for adult volunteers and for name suggestions for the safe place.

Adult volunteers must be aged 25 or above and are not required to be members of the LGBT+ community. They are, however, required to be open-minded and willing to support young LGBT+ people.

The safe space is due to open soon. The name will be announced soon, but suggestions are still welcome.

For more information, visit LGBT+ Føroyar’s website.
