Summer time begins

Clocks moved forward one hour last night.

Smartphone users need not worry about changing the clock as this is most likely done automatically, but those of us who use a classic alarm clock will need to adjust our clock manually.

Clocks will go back to winter time in late October.

The practice of seasonal clock changes was first introduced during World War One to save energy by prolonging evening daylight in summer.
