Bakery reported to the police
Eysturoy-based bakery has repeatedly failed to comply with instructions about hygiene, says food authority

HFS, the Faroese Food and Veterinary Authority, reported Miðberg bakery to the police on 5 April.
The bakery, based in Saltangará, Eysturoy, is suspected of violating three provisions in the food law and one in the government order on internal control.
According to the HFS, the bakery has repeatedly failed to follow instructions aimed at improving internal control. The hygiene standards inside the bakery are also said to be unsatisfactory.
Police have begun investigations into the matter.
