Reality star cleared of rape charge

Teitur Skoubo was handed a 30-month jail sentence in May after being found guilty of rape.

His defence lawyer immediately appealed the sentence, and today the Danish High Court cleared Skoubo of the rape charge.

The dropped rape charge means that Skoubo will not be required to pay the legal costs.

Insufficient evidence

According to Danish newspaper Ekstrabladet, the high court judge was not satisfied with the prosecution’s evidence of sexual intercourse with the woman after she had withdrawn her consent.

However, the judge said there was sufficient evidence that the woman had not consented to Skoubo hitting her during sex.

This means that Skoubo is a free man as he has already served the three-month jail term he was handed for the charge of assault.
