A person has died in a two-car collision in Streymoy

A major car accident in Streymoy claimed a life this morning.
At 9.45, police were told that two cars had collided on the stretch between Hvalvík and Áir in Streymoy.

Firefighters and police officers arriving at the scene found that one person had died in the accident.
Police are not disclosing further details at the moment.
