New music festival in Tórshavn

"We want to deliver the best of the best, the coolest of the cool and tickle your senses in a way you never knew you loved.”
This is how the organisers of new music festival ‘Skrapt’ (‘Cool’) introduce themselves on the festival’s Facebook page.
No names have been announced yet, but according to the organisers, Skrapt is intended as a hub for the “latest sound and the hottest acts”.
Links with G!
Skrapt has a similar grassroot history as the now famous G! festival in Gøta.
The link between the two festivals becomes even clearer when we see that one of the main organisers of Skrapt, Sunneva Háberg Eysturstein, was also part of the local team in Gøta that launched G! at the start of this century.
“We have partnered up with our friends from Iceland for our inaugural festival,” explains Eysturstein.
“Our programme will consist of some of the most exciting new bands in Iceland along with a carefully selected list of local acts.”
The first acts will be announced later this week. Ticket sales will also open next week.
