Faroese boxers making waves in Denmark
Two Faroese boxers took gold and silver in the Danish amateur championships over the weekend

David Kunoy won gold in the welterweight final, and Teitur Annand (right) won silver in the light welterweight final of last weekend’s Danish amateur boxing championships.

Kunoy secured a first-round technical knockout with a big liver punch, reports news site portal.fo.

Annand had a tougher time in his final, eventually losing on a 4-1 points decision.

Kunoy’s boxing record stands at eight wins and two losses, while Annand’s record is six wins and two losses.

“Their statistics still look good, and we are really happy with their performances this season,” said Tórshavn Boxing coach Martin Meng.
