Police officer charged with indecent exposure

The public prosecutor in Copenhagen has charged a Faroese police officer of indecent exposure and abuse of power.
Danish news agency Ritzau reports that the man contacted three women on Messenger in December last year saying the women were due for interrogation.
According to the indictment, the man picked up one of the women outside her college and drove her back to his place for interrogation. Here, he is said to have made unwanted sexual advances towards the woman.
He is also said to have showed up at a bar in Tórshavn where another woman was spending the evening. According to the indictment, unwanted sexual advances also took place in this case.
The third woman did not respond to the man’s message.
Police chief Michael Boolsen has declined to comment on the matter, but he says that the officer has been suspended from his duties while the case is ongoing.
