Full support for new relief packages

Parliament yesterday voted unanimously in favour of sending DKK 8 million in relief aid.

DKK 7 million will be sent as humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and DKK 1 million will go to earthquake-hit areas in Turkey and Syria.

The government initially proposed DKK 500,000 for Turkey and Syria, but on recommendation of the finance committee, this amount was raised to DKK 1 million.

All 32 MPs present at yesterday’s meeting voted in favour of the proposal submitted by finance minister Ruth Vang.
